Lufthansa Debuts New Business Class

Lufthansa began using its new Business Class yesterday on an A330 flight from Munich to Washington, D.C.

The long-haul fleet operating from Munich took delivery of a new Airbus A330-300, the first Lufthansa Airbus featuring the new Business Class on board. Each of the 48 seats, equipped with an integrated air-cushion system, converts into a full-flat, horizontal sleeping surface measuring 6.5 feet in length. Other perks include  an individual entertainment program with 15-inch monitors.

And, of course, at the very front of the cabin is the new, exclusive First Class which is already in service on the upper deck of the Airbus A380. Eight guests can sleep on what is reportedly the largest flat bed in its class.
