Luxe Lift: Monaco Chicago Hotel Unveils $3 Million Renovation

MonacoChicago

After a little paint, some new threads and $3 million, Kimpton's Monaco Chicago hotel is ready to show off its new look to the Windy City.

Located on the Chicago River, the 191-room hotel is flaunting bold and modern flair (think a modernized steamer trunk nightstand in earth tones displaying a red Moroccan lamp). Rooms pop with deep chocolate and lipstick red tones along with ivory faux crocodile panels that line the mirrored headboard.

We love the newly appointed window seats, called Meditation Stations, which look down onto the city.

Top digs: The Tranquility Suite is a two-room oasis offering in-room massage rollers, in-room fountain, sound machines, sleep masks and towel warmers.

All rooms are equipped with 37-inch LCD HD flat screen televisions, wireless internet, gourmet honor bar, in-room dining, Aveda bath products, and more.
