Luxury Thailand: Banyan Tree Opens Cassia Phuket

Banyan Tree Casia Phuket

Traveling to the Thai isle of Phuket and looking for luxury apartment-style accommodations? Banyan Tree recently debuted Cassia Phuket, an apartment residence that’s privy to hotel-style services. Banyan Tree has described Cassia as a brand new hospitality concept that’s "part hotel, part serviced apartment", where guests are encouraged to “custom-make their own stay.” Designed to be like “a home away from home,” the one- and two-bedroom apartment units come with fully equipped kitchens, separate living space and free WiFi; rates also include breakfast.

The largest island in the Andaman Sea, Phuket has long been one of Thailand’s top tourist draws. The 221-apartment Cassia Phuket aims to tap into diverse market sectors: families, romance-seeking couples, and groups of friends. Facilities open to guests include a spa, two restaurants, two swimming pools, and direct access to the private beach of Bang Tao. There’s also a real focus on cultural immersion.

Future locations for Banyan Tree’s Cassia concept include Bintan, Lijiang, and Beruwala.
