There's nothing more elegantly New England than a hearty craft beer and a platter of fresh seafood. We hear that The Greater Portland Convention & Visitors Bureau is set to honor both of these elements with the Fourth Annual Harvest on the Harbor, from October 20-22 at Ocean Gateway.

The top draws will include Top of the Crop: Maine's Best Farm to Table Chef, where an esteemed panel of judges along with audience input, determine which chef most successfully captures the farm-to-table experience.

This year, Harvest puts a new spin on the Ultimate Seafood Splash, teaming up with local fishermen to introduce a lesser-known, abundant species of fish from the cold coastal waters of Maine.

A lineup of the events include:
Ultimate Seafood Splash, held Thursday, October 20 from noon to 2:30

The Grand Tasting on the Harbor, slated for Thursday October 20 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This palate pleaser features the region's premier culinary talents along with local and international wines, beers and spirits.

The Maine Lobster Chef of the Year, sponsored by the Maine Lobster Promotion Council, is scheduled for Friday, October 21 from noon to 2:30 p.m.

Top of the Crop: Maine's Best Farm to Table Chef, the best Maine Chefs will bring the farm fresh flavors of Maine to the cooking stage on Friday, October 21 from 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m.

Finally, two sessions of the Savory Samplings at the Marketplace will be offered on Saturday, October 22 from noon to 2:30 and from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
