Mandarin Oriental Boston Offers Gourmet Summer Picnics

Mandarin Oriental BostonTis the season... for picnics in the park, or along the Charles River during a sultry summer weekend in Beantown. The Mandarin Oriental Boston has unveiled a new offering for guests looking to unwind with a gourmet picnic for two, without the hassle of packing up the basket themselves.

The hotel's chefs have created dishes like Heirloom Tomato Salad with Picholine Olives, Feta Cheese and Lemon Herb Vinaigrette; Classic New England Lobster Rolls; and Vegan Tofu Bowl with Sweet Chili, Bamboo Rice, Green Papaya and Basil. To wash it down, there are a variety of drinks to choose from, like “North,” a Lychee, Apple and Cranberry mocktail, or “South,” a non-alcoholic elixir made with Orange, Passion Fruit, Pineapple and Ginger Ale.

This five-star picnic can be enjoyed as part of the “Lazy Days of Summer Picnic Package” which includes overnight accommodations, and is priced from $655. Note that the hotel will also pack up gourmet picnics to enjoy at the famous Head of the Charles rowing regatta in October.
