Marti Hotel Opens in Istanbul

The Marti Group recently launched its first city address with Marti Istanbul Hotel, which will debut all public spaces in late September.

Upon arrival, guests can walk through a spacious courtyard between the entrance and the street (which, we hear, is a rarity in Istanbul).

What we love: The hotel has a terrace on the hotel's 11th floor, which reportedly offers some swank views. Also? Most guest rooms have marble and glass enclosed bathrooms with separate rainforest showers. Suite guests get hammam-style basins surrounded by richly textured mosaics.

The best room at the hotel is the Regal Suite on the 10th floor. The 2,700-square-foot suite has views over the Bosporus, a piano in the living room, a kitchen, a study, a walk-in closet and a magnificent hammam-style bathroom with Jacuzzi, vanity corner and double wash basin. Private butler service is also available.

Fine Fare
The hotel has two restaurants and multiple bar areas under the guidance of Executive Chef Frédéric Médigue, who has recently spent four years in dual roles as Executive Chef and Consultant at the Castle Orfeuillette in Lozere, France and the Residence Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Located steps inside the hotel's entrance, Marti's serves French, Asian and Turkish dishes. Seasonal fare is created in an open kitchen that showcases a rotisserie and grill. There is also outdoor seating, an extensive wine selection, and weekly French specialties.

At the Mezzanine Level, the Quad Restaurant & Bar has an Ottoman tent decorated with Turkish motifs.

Additional hotel dining options include a Piano Bar on the Mezzanine Level; a Lobby Lounge just inside the hotel entrance; and Lounge 11 on the top floor for exclusive use of suite guests. There will also be a Gourmet Shop with branded gifts for purchase, such as chocolates and pastries made in-house.

The Spa
On the 11th floor of the hotel, the spa has four hammams, three saunas, two steam rooms and five treatment rooms, as well as a relaxation area and "vitamin bar." On the terrace, guests can work out (and look out over the city) in the glass-enclosed gym.

The hotel is located at Abdülhak Hamit Cd. No:25/B Taksim. For more information, visit martiistanbulhotel.com.
