Marvel Adventure: A New Theme Park in Dubai

Burj Al Arab, DubaiFun news from Dubai: Marvel Entertainment has teamed up with local partner the IMG Group to begin construction on an indoor family entertainment center that will have comic book geeks over the moon. Slated for 2013, Marvel Adventure will be located in the City of Arabia development, and will have attractions, restaurants, and retail outlets themed with Marvel characters like Spider-Man, The Avengers, The Hulk, and the X-Men.

CNN Go speculates that this theme park, as it’s based in Dubai, won’t be shy about doing things in a big way: “This will be one part of the region’s largest temperature-controlled entertainment destinations that IMG is developing which is sure to be a strategic landmark in Dubai, appealing to the region as well as other parts of the world,” said Mustafa Galadari of IMG Group, as quoted by Abu Dhabi daily The National.”
