Grand Miramar All Luxury Suites & Residences in Puerto Vallarta

From a hotel reopening in Puerto Vallarta, to fresh new spa offerings from Banyan Tree, here’s the latest luxury news out of Mexico.

Grand Miramar All Luxury Suites & Residences has reopened in Puerto Vallarta, with upgrades to the resort, along with new services and amenities in both the suites and public spaces.

With panoramic views overlooking Banderas Bay from two high-rises, chic furnishings and artisan-crafted décor, guests will have no trouble finding peace and tranquility in the heart of the Conchas Chinas neighborhood. For a truly opulent stay, the Master Suite has an outdoor balcony with Jacuzzis where they can enjoy a cocktail or two while watching the sunsets in style.

The hotel’s gastronomy scene also got a revamp. La Mar Restaurant serves modern, international cuisine while Cielito Lindo dishes up authentic Mexican specialties, offering a buffet with views of the bay.  In the pipeline is The Gin Joint, which will serve as the hotel’s ultra-chic rooftop lounge at the highest point on Banderas Bay affording 360-degree views and serving signature cocktails.

Grand Miramar’s pools have also been jazzed up with new modern furnishings, while Spa Miramar continues to entice with the Agave Spa experience treatments derived from native Mexican botanicals for those who want to take the relaxing experience to the next level.

Good to know: Guests at Grand Miramar can also play at the nearby Vista Vallarta Golf Club or at the Marina Vallarta course and receive an exclusive 40 percent discount off regular golf fees.

Looking to be truly pampered? Book a stay in one of the Spa Sanctuary Villas just launched at Banyan Tree Resorts’ two Mexico properties, Mayakoba and Cabo Marques.

The resorts’ wellness program combines Asian restorative spa therapies with unlimited spa treatments and healthy cuisine as well. Privacy and rejuvenation is the ultimate focus here, as upon arrival, guests meet with the Sanctuary Hosts to create an individualized itinerary for their stay, along with a Morning Delight Treatment, followed by an in-villa Wellness Breakfast. And if that isn’t enough, upon returning to the villa each evening, special therapeutic ’Sanctuary for the Senses’ turndown amenities complete the indulgent experience.

Tip: We suggest booking this experience as a couple or individual, or even a small business retreat, as the villas provide the upmost privacy.

Rendering of a villa at VieVage Los Cabos

Guests may never want to leave the sun and sand behind after a stay at one of the new beachfront villas at VieVage Los Cabos. Nestled within the 1,200-acre Chileno Bay development, the property lies just nine miles from Cabo St. Lucas, and is set to open in October of this year. Once finished, it will offer a year-round stage for activities like scuba diving, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming and snorkeling.

VieVage’s suites and villas will have water views and indoor-outdoor living, all with a cool, California style. Bespoke furnishings, like wood-slab table tops and limestone floors, will give the space an earthy aesthetic. There will also a centerpiece swimming pool at the center of the property, a second pool for families, an oceanfront hot tub and fire pits.

For dining, head to the Ocean Edge Restaurant in the evenings, where they will serve artisanal cuisine in a relaxed setting under the stars.
Want to stay active during the day? Check out the new Tom Fazio-designed golf course, spa and movement studio, or take a fitness class. There will also be a kid’s club, owners lounge, and h2O Cave, the resort’s waterfront sports center.
