New Beer Hall to Open on New York City's West Side

While we love a swanky cocktail as much as anybody, some days, you just want a cold brew. And as the gourmet beer trend continues to explode in New York City, the west side is getting a new establishment for aficionados.

City website Gothamist is reporting that when it opens in June, Beer Authority will have 80 beers on tap and 100 bottles, as well as cask ales and growlers. Among these will be Avery Maharaja on draft as well as Cigar City Maduro.

The bar will cover two floors and will be able to fit more than 200 people total (perfect for less-formal events, we say). And we hear live music will be a regular feature. Our steins runneth over.

Beer Authority will be located at 300 West 40th Street, close to the Port Authority and the Theater District. Visit www.beerauthoritynyc.com for more information.
