New Designer Suite at Hotel Lutetia in Paris

Night and Day Suite at Hotel Lutetia

Hot on the heels of David Lynch (the filmmaker) and the Campana Brothers (the legendary design duo), interior designer Régis Dho has unveiled a suite at the Hotel Lutetia in Paris. Régis Dho—designer of restaurants by Michel Rostang and Alain Ducasse-- is the latest celebrated artist to be given a blank slate by the luxury hotel to create an ephemeral suite. Called “Night and Day,” the suite is Art Deco in spirit, with a turquoise, black and gray palette. The designer recruited the “Mis en Demeure” store to supply the fabulous décor; a pinewood Bastide Commode was turned into the Mini Bar; a Solférino banquette, made out of beech wood, now serves as the bedside table.

To quote the designer: “Night & Day echoes the most romantic song in the world, sung by Ella Fitzgerald. It is the perfect balance of Parisian daytime and nighttime magic, a magic which overwhelms every out-of-town visitor. This sophisticated cocoon welcomes guests home, after a hectic round of museums, with great serenity. I think that this suite is designed with their pleasure in mind.”

The "Night and Day" suite measures just under 600 square feet. Rates start from 900 euros. Hotel Lutetia is located near Le Bon Marché on the Left Bank. For more information, visit www.lutetia-paris.com.
