New Hotels in the French Alps- Le Kaïla in Méribel

France’s Trois Vallées is renowned as one of the world’s top ski destinations. New for the winter season: The ski resort of Méribel—often eclipsed by its “glamorous neighbor, Courchevel”—will get its proper due, says The Guardian, all thanks to a new luxury hotel called Le Kaïla. Billed as the first five-star hotel in Méribel, the hotel will have 42 rooms and a Nuxe Spa, designed in slate and untreated wood, with extensive facilities including a hydrotherapy course with geysers, waterfalls, hydromassage seas, and waterfalls.

UrbanDaddy sings the praises of this new ski chalet, suggesting some R&R in the “steam room in your bathroom before hitting up the new Folie Douce, an outpost of the techno DJ-fueled outdoor bar nearby.” The hotel’s on-site restaurant will also have a stylish ambience, channeling “chic mountain spirit.” For more information, visit www.lekaila.com
