Looking for the latest on China's luxury scene? We say look toward Ahn Luh, a Chinese hotel management group that is ready to open luxury properties in China's Chengdu, Shenzhen, Beijing and Tibet.

We hear the company has recently appointed its first CEO. Akira Moreno, currently the vice president of development and pre-opening services for GHM, will be taking on the new role while also maintaining his duties at GHM. Note: GHM teamed up with Beijing Tourism Group, and Great Ocean Group, to form Ahn Luh in October 2011.

In his new position, Moreno will oversee the operations and development of Ahn Luh.

The first Anh Luh hotel will come online next year in Chengdu. The next resort, the Ahn Luh Xunliao Bay beach resort will open in 2016 on an island within three hours of Shenzhen.
