New Singita Camp Opens in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park

Great news for safari fans: The Singita Mara River Tented Camp has opened in the Lamai triangle, the northernmost tip of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. What makes it different? We hear that this camp—a contemporary take on the classic East African safari—offers a more pared-down approach to the quintessential Singita safari...without compromising on any classic comforts, of course. With 16 beds surrounded by 98,000 acres of untouched wilderness, each tent offers plenty of solitude, peace and space.

The camp is located on a bend on the northern side of the Mara River, providing top views of the wildebeest river crossings during the annual migration and also of resident game year round.

Good to know: Sustainable living underpins every aspect of Singita Mara River Tented Camp, which is built from natural and recycled materials and is completely “off the grid,” relying entirely on a custom-designed solar power array.
