New Tea Sittings at Taj Boston

Can't get to London for High Tea? No problem. The Taj Boston's French Room, a classically styled tea room, has been refreshed and expanded to offer a traditional afternoon for parties of up to 10. Sitting times have also been adjusted to accommodate weekend schedules, with seating offered at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays beginning April 1. New Friday service begins April 6, with seating at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Imbibers can choose from 21 loose leaf teas (white, green oolong, black and herbal, including a special Taj Chai Blend that is exclusive to Taj Hotels), Champagne by the glass or bottle, aperitifs or signature cocktails.

Of course, tea isn't just about the beverages, and this is where the French Room's menu is remarkable. There are traditional tea sandwiches of smoked salmon, caviar, prosciutto and melon or cucumber and egg salad, but guests can also try lobster profiteroles and tiered trays of pastries. The Children’s tea menu (it's never too early to teach them proper dining habits, we say!) includes peanut butter and jelly tea sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and pots of hot chocolate
