New York New: Affinia Manhattan Unveils Multi-Million-Dollar Makeover

affinia

The Affinia Manhattan hotel, near New York's Madison Square Garden, is winding summer down with the debut of its $25 million redesign.

The project, which brought the hotel to the Rockwell Group, includes an expanded inventory of 89 additional rooms, for a total of 616. Chic space: Many of the hotel's larger rooms measure at 1,123 square feet (that's sprawling by NYC standards). Ask which rooms offer in-room kitchens and terraces.

Urban oasis: The Rockwell Group was commissioned to design a retreat within the building that reflects the stylish playground that is New York City. The rooms give off an art studio-vibe with white, grays, greens and oranges, complete with custom-designed glass artists' tables.
