Now Taking Reservations: Rocco Forte's New Hotel in Abu Dhabi

Big news out of the United Arab Emirates: Rocco Forte Hotels has announced that its latest luxury property will open on November 7, 2011. Now accepting reservations, The Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi is the first hotel in the Middle East from Europe’s renowned hotel brand. The building itself is shaped like a wave of glass; Sir Rocco Forte says that it’s the company’s “most architecturally bold property to date.” The interiors-- designed by KCA International under the direction of Director of Design Olga Polizzi-- are no less stunning. The 281 guest rooms channel the contemporary European elegance for which Rocco Forte is known, but with lots of Middle Eastern touches, like framed poetry by Maqamat Adonis.

As to be expected at a Rocco Forte hotel, the spa is generously sized with an indoor pool, hammams, gym, and yoga/pilates studio. The hotel will also have four restaurants and two bars including a stylish hot spot suspended in the 11-storey glass atrium. Needless to say, the Blue Bar will have fantastic views of the city skyline from its 6th floor perch.

This hotel project was developed by UAE’s Al Farida Investments Company in partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC).
