Olivier Martinez Brings the French Riviera to South Beach

Villa Azur, South Beach, MiamiIn just a few weeks, a new restaurant from actor Olivier Martinez will make a splash on the South Beach dining scene. (The buzzed-about eatery already has close to 5,000 Twitter followers, even before opening day.) Martinez teamed up with restaurateur Jean-Philippe Bernard and nightlife promoter Michael Martin to create Villa Azur, a restaurant and lounge that’s designed to reflect the glamour of Saint Tropez on the French Riviera. The Miami Herald reports that “the menu will focus on South of France-style cuisine with Italian accents, and the 6,000 square foot restaurant will also offer La Cave d’Azur, a wine cellar/private dining room where we can expect Martinez, Berry and all their famous friends to hide out.” The Executive Chef is Mickael Bensa who will serve up Mediterranean dishes like rigatoni with a morels mushroom sauce, bouillabaisse casserole and seared scallops.
