Canyon Ranch in Turkey

As we reported last year, Canyon Ranch has been developing its first international wellness retreat outside Bodrum, a fashionable destination on the “Turkish Riviera.” Slated to open in July, Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort at Kaplankaya will import the legendary wellness concept found in Tucson, Arizona and Lenox, Massachusetts to the shores of the Aegean Sea. The resort has 141 guestrooms and suites, appointed with Nespresso machines, organic Turkish linens, and marble bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and walk-in showers. Situated on the slopes above the main building, the 40 “Rooms on the Ridge” come with terraces overlooking the Aegean.

The facilities are extensive. Think indoor and outdoor pools, a high-tech gym, fitness studios, and a world-class spa that even offers “express treatments” alongside the signature therapies, massages, nailcare and salon services. Activities run the gamut from hiking and mountain biking to mind-body classes. This being Canyon Ranch, there’s a big focus on health and wellbeing. Overseen by a team of doctors and certified professionals, the wellness programs are personalized for each guest. There are also nutritionists on hand, and chefs provide tips for healthy cooking.
