Outrigger Opens Phi Phi Island Resort

Southern Thailand just received an additional dose of luxury. We hear that the Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort and Spa officially opens this week.

The 156-key property sits on 70 acres. The hotel was originally the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and Spa, but was handed over to Outrigger in October 2011. Since then, the resort has gone under extensive improvements (think the addition of 44 new Deluxe Garden Bungalows). F&B outlets, as well as the gym have been improved.

The 571-square-foot Deluxe Garden Bungalows feature walk-in closets, a flat screen television and iPod docking stations.
