All eyes are on the French Riviera at the moment for the annual Cannes Film Festival. And in just a few weeks time, Pinel & Pinel—the Paris luxury trunk-maker—will be setting up shop at the Carlton Hotel, literally, with a pop-up store right on La Croisette. Pinel & Pinel has established a reputation for its careful craftsmanship and innovation, with contemporary ski trunks, limited edition Picnic Trunks for Krug Champagne, and custom Christmas decorations created last year for Shangri-La Paris. (The luxury goods are often high-tech and made with crocodile skin, sting ray, or full grain leather, coupled with carbon or titanium.)
This first “boutique éphémère” will be open from July 1- September 15, exhibiting the summer collection of trunks along with accessories, luggage, hand bags, and leather goods. This pop-up store will be the first stop on a tour of France’s palace hotels. Pinel & Pinel’s flagship store is located at 22 rue Royale in Paris.
