Provence Abbey Added to Garrigae Resorts Portfolio

French real estate and hotel resort company Garrigae, has extended its collection into Provence, with the addition of L’Abbaye de Sainte Croix, a restored and refurbished 12th century abbey that is also a member of Relais & Chateaux.

L’Abbaye joins Garrigae’s current portfolio of three distinctive properties in the Languedoc, which include Les Jardins de Saint Benoît, Vineyard resort & Spa, Corbières; Port Rive Gauche, Luxury retreat, Marseillan, Bassin de Thau; and Le Convent d’Hérépian, Luxury retreat & Spa, Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc.

Set within 20 hectares of pine forest, the 12th century abbey, which still has its original chapel, has 21 guest rooms and four apartments (designed by Philippe Eckert) incorporated into the former living quarters of the Benedictine monks who used to live there. Nice touch: Each room is named after a saint.
