London is positively happening this year, with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games right around the corner. First up on the agenda: the Chelsea Flower Show, the world’s most famous gardening event, taking place May 22-26 at the Royal Hospital. It’s the perfect start to the summer season, and The Ritz London will be celebrating with a special “Flower Menu” created by Executive Chef John Williams MBE. Beautiful edible flowers have been used to both decorate and flavor a selection of menu items.
Available in The Ritz Restaurant during the week of the Flower Show (Tuesday, May 22- Saturday, May 26, 2012) the Ritz Flower Menu includes dishes like Ballotine of Ham Hock, Dublin Bay Prawn with Fennel Pollen; Salad Of Native Lobster with Citrus Jelly, Nasturtium And Passion Fruit Dressing; Stuffed Courgette Flower with Dublin Bay Prawns and Jasmine Scented Jus; Roast Sea Scallop with Bergamot and Angelica; Breast of Duck with Stuffed Morels, Broadbean Flowers and Honey Blossom; and Vanilla Parfait with Rose Geranium Jelly and Elderflower Sorbet.
The lunch Menu du Jour is £45, and the dinner is priced at £50 for three courses and £65 for five courses. For more information, visit www.theritzlondon.com.
