Rolling Stones to Play 50th Anniversary Concert in New Jersey

Great news for New Jersey: The Rolling Stones will be eschewing Manhattan—and New York City entirely—to celebrate their 50th anniversary at the Prudential Center in Newark for two concerts on December 13 and 15—the stateside complement to their London gigs on November 25 and 29.

Brooklyn's popular new Barclays Center had been a popular guess for the U.S. performances, but the more established Prudential Center won out instead.  Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will reportedly perform "era-defining tracks" such as Gimme Shelter, Paint It Black, Jumping Jack Flash, Tumbling Dice, It's Only Rock and Roll, plus other numbers from GRRR!, the multi-format compilation RS50 album coming out in November

According to Time Out New York, tickets for the Newark dates range in price from $95 for the nosebleeds to $750 for the premium seats. The tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, October 26 via Ticketmaster.

Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey. Visit www.prucenter.com for more information.
