Sunny Southern California offers a plethora of ideal options for a destination wedding and honeymoon, and Terranea Resort, located in Rancho Palos Verdes, just 20 miles from LAX airport, is an easy commute from most major cities. Set atop a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the resort’s design elements offer a Mediterranean aesthetic while highlighting the area’s natural environment. With its stunning coastline and ocean views, Terranea provides a charming ambience for a wedding, with a range of ceremony and reception venues from intimate to grand scales, accommodating anywhere from 25 to 900 guests. The resort allows couples to create an entire weekend catered to their specific wedding needs, offering a variety of special event spaces available to host cocktail hours, welcome receptions, rehearsal dinners, and more.

After the ceremony, the new couple can choose from a number of romantic suites, including the Vanderlip Suite. This 2,200-square-foot ocean-side accommodation is the ideal couple’s retreat, complete with a separate living room and dining room and an in-suite pantry.

Guests of the couple have plenty of choices of their own, including three shearwater suites, 36 ocean-view suites, 50 casitas, 20 bungalows, and 32 villas.

When it comes to the VIP experience for newlyweds, the options run the gamut from a romantic private plane ride over the city with champagne to a luxury yacht charter for the day, gondola rides in Naples Canal, and romantic beachfront picnics.
