The Secret Rooftop Garden at The Berkeley, London

The Berkeley, London, rooftop gardenUntil September, city-weary Londoners can venture to The Berkeley’s rooftop for a little taste of the British countryside in the heart of Knightsbridge. Award-winning florist McQueens has transformed the hotel’s spa terrace into an idyllic picnic spot, where British summer favorites can be savored in stylish deck chairs. (Think home-made lemon iced tea and wild strawberries with cream). To quote The Berkeley’s website: “Birds will be singing, birch trees and wild lavender growing and a special picnic menu will be on hand to complete a day in the country, in the heart of the city!”

In fact, The Berkeley Health Club and Spa has partnered with skincare brand Green & Spring so their signature treatments are available through the entire summer. One of the spa treatment rooms has morphed into named The Green & Spring Cottage, redesigned with chic rural accents. Guests can indulge in a selection of treatments incorporating products made from native flowers and herbs. The 90-minute Green & Spring Indulgence’, for example, uses lavender, oats and lemon balm.
