See the Talked-About David Hockney Exhibit with the Ritz London

David Hockney at the Royal Academy of Arts

There’s been lots of buzz in the art world about the current exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly. This is the first major UK exhibition showcasing David Hockney's recent work, paintings inspired by the Yorkshire countryside, the artist’s birthplace. For a glimpse of these colorful canvases, check out the BBC's image gallery. It’s noteworthy that the 74-year old has adopted new technology, even experimenting drawing on an iPad. Running through April 9, 2012, "David Hockney: A Bigger Picture" features work from 50 years of the artist's career. Hockney is considered the best known British artist of his generation.

The Ritz London, located just steps away from the Royal Academy of Arts, is inviting guests to enjoy a three-course luncheon and a glass of Champagne along with a visit to the exhibit. For more information about this special offer, contact The Ritz Restaurant at +44 (0)20 7300 2370. The Ritz London also has a package with overnight accommodations and VIP access to the museum.
