One of the world’s tallest skyscrapers—second only to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai—has opened a viewing platform for visitors. Located in Lujiazui in Shanghai’s Pudong financial district, the Shanghai Tower reaches nearly 1,900 feet tall. The viewing platform is located on the 119th floor, and is accessed by high-speed elevator that travels more than 50 feet per second. (It’s reported that this elevator is the fastest in the world, and visitors arrive at the platform in just 55 seconds.)

Designed with an 120-degree twist (likened to a “strand of DNA”), the $2.4 billion building is still undergoing final touches to the offices, shops, apartments, and hotel which are slated to open this summer. In the meantime, visitors are welcome to embark on a super-fast ride to the top to check out the views over Shanghai. The viewing platform is equipped with a souvenir shop and a photography exhibition of iconic skyscrapers around the globe.

In other news out of Shanghai, the Shanghai Disney Resort is slated to open on June 16.
