Shopping in Paris- Ladurée Opens New Chocolate Boutique

Les Marquis de Laduree, chocolate shop, ParisTravelers to Paris are known to make pilgrimages to the City of Light's famous macaron shops (think Pierre Hermé and Ladurée) for a sweet pick-me-up. Not to mention that keepsake boxes of colorful macarons make for excellent gifts for folks back home. Ladurée fans will be pleased to learn there’s a new Paris address to get their sugar fix. The company has launched a new brand, called Les Marquis de Ladurée, devoted to chocolate.

Located near the Place Vendôme at 14 rue Castiglione, the boutique sells confections like pastries, truffles, brownies, and macarons (of course) from a pretty counter decorated with medallion portraits reminiscent of the 18th century. And soon chocoholics can partake in chocolate-making classes and tasting sessions in the store, says Women’s Wear Daily. For more information, visit www.laduree.fr.
