Raffles Singapore is readying itself for a new GM. We hear Raffles Hotels & Resorts has appointed Simon Hirst as the general manager of the iconic hotel. He comes to the role from sister property Raffles Praslin, Seychelles and will be the GM as of August 1.
Hirst's career began with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, where he held positions in Hong Kong and San Francisco for more than 11 years. He joined with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in 1988 as Resident Manager of the Four Seasons, Park Lane, London.
Hirst will be replaced by Christopher Ganster.
