The Singapore Tourism Board Hosts Media and Anthony Bourdain

Luxury Travel Advisor was on location on Monday, February 13, with the Singapore Tourism Board and guest of honor, Anthony Bourdain. The Singapore Tourism Board hosted a luncheon for select members of the media at Laut Restaurant in New York City to showcase the country's fantastic cuisine.

Dishes were handpicked by the Singapore Tourism and Tony himself, to give those in attendance a taste (no pun) of some of what Singapore has to offer. Bourdain then spent time speaking with the audience about his own personal experiences in Singapore and why the country has become so near and dear to his heart.

The STB also unveiled a recap on transformational new developments that have helped to shape modern day Singapore. In 2011, Singapore experienced $17.6 billion in tourism receipts and 13.2 million international visitor arrivals, a 13 percent growth from 2012.
