Luxury Travel Advisor is fresh off a trip to Bermuda, where we toured the lovely Rosewood Tucker's Point
Luxury Travel Advisor recently spent a few days in beautiful Bermuda and had an opportunity to tour the very elegant Rosewood Tucker's Point.
Here are some highlights from that visit that agents can use to hook in some affluent families or couples looking to live it up in Bermuda.
The Rooms
There are four categories of rooms here and five categories of suites. We were told one of the most popular suites since the family market is very strong here is the Two-Bedroom Villa Suite. Overlooking Castle Harbour, these two-bedroom suites are situated in three independent buildings separated from the Manor House. Each is comprised of a living room and two connecting deluxe bedrooms. Nice Touch: The living room features a wet bar, shower bath, dining table and a sitting area with a fireplace.

The sofa makes into a comfortable queen bed for added sleeping capacity. The bedrooms feature teester beds and walk-in closets. The living room and bedrooms open onto expansive balconies furnished for al fresco dining and relaxing with waterfront view of Castle Harbour. Villa Suites are accessed via the 77 steps of the Castle Harbour Grand Staircase.
Although none of the suites were available for us to see, we did see and were quite impressed with room no. 11, a Poolside Deluxe Room. There are eight of these rooms at the property and they each come with a private poolside cabana at one of the hotel's four swimming pools. Two pools are located at the property's main building and the other two are located at the hotel's private Beach Club. Note: The Beach Club's Sur Mer restaurant is the only dining option at the hotel that is exclusively for VIPs.
The Spa
The property's Sense spa has eight treatment room including one couples room. It offers everything from massages and facials to manicures and pedicures. Hint: But perhaps the spa's most interesting amenity is its TAG Shower, a special shower with 18 shower heads hitting every inch of your body. Salon services are also available for advance bookings.

There are three restaurants here including The Point, which offers international cuisine made from fresh local ingredients and Sur Mer, simple al fresco dining overlooking the beach. We dined at the elegant Italian restaurant, Sul Verde, and feasted on the amazing "Mare E Monti" (bacon wrapped angus tenderloin, grilled jumbo shrimps, Tuscan cabbage, garlic butter Sauce). The restaurant was class to the max as we were attended by at least three servers. The ambience is classic with dimmed lights and even a fire place.
The Rosewood Factor
The hotel is five years old and has been under Rosewood management for the last three years. It was privately run for the first two years of operations. And it's been quite the ride for Rosewood so far. General Manager Paul Telford told us that the hotel received an 86 percent rating from guests during an exit survey in 2011. That score went up to 89 in 2012 and then 90 in 2013. And so far in 2014, Telford says the property is the sixth most successful hotel in Rosewood's portfolio.
