Ski the French Alps: Hotel l'Aigle des Neiges Gets a Makeover

Hotel L'Aigle des Neiges, France

When it comes to a great luxury value, the secret’s out about skiing the French Alps, where lift tickets are a fraction of the price they are in the U.S. And with the euro at a nine-year low against the dollar, now’s the time to plan your spring ski trip to France. In Val d'Isère, the popular alpine resort whose season lasts until May 3, 2015, the legendary four-star Hotel l'Aigle des Neiges was entirely renovated for this winter ski season.

Interior designed Laurent Maugoust styled the 109 rooms and suites. There’s a new spa called Deep Nature, with a treatment menu designed by the Cinq Mondes beauty brand, and a cool restaurant concept called Pier-Paul-Jack. At the convivial bar, “Jack”, you can taste tapas paired with cocktails; at “Pier” you’ll find traditional cuisine; and at “Paul,” you can cook your own fresh vegetables and meats on the stone grills built into your table.

L’Aigle des Neiges is part of the Maranatha Hotels Group.
