Star Chef Anne-Sophie Pic to Open a Restaurant in Paris

Anne-Sophie PicWhen Anne-Sophie Pic was awarded three Michelin stars in 2007, she was the first and only female chef in France to achieve this honor. The third generation of her family to helm the kitchen at La Maison Pic in Valence, Anne-Sophie Pic went on to open an eponymous restaurant at the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland which promptly scored two Michelin stars. Now she has her gaze on the French capital, scouting Right Bank real estate (the first arrondissement, no less!) for a new restaurant scheduled for mid-May.

Just a stone’s throw from the Louvre, and not far from Daniel Rose’s Spring restaurant, the new two-level eatery will be housed in a former carpet store at 20, rue du Louvre and will feature an open kitchen and a private dining room. L'Hôtellerie Restauration quotes Pic as describing it as "colorful and feminine, a cross between a chic bistro and gastronomic restaurant."
