If you’re headed to SoCal this summer for a relaxing stay, book one of the newly renovated suites at Montage Laguna Beach. The resort is set on a coastal bluff and has beachfront guest rooms, three pools, outdoor recreational activities and great restaurants, making it the perfect stay for some high profile fun.

Traveling incognito? Snag an Aliso Suite, which has a home-away-from-home vibe. The new interiors may mirror the summer sun, but we think Aliso’s new brick-and-stone hearth with a gas fireplace makes it the ideal hideaway for the fall.

The Catalina Suite makes sure guests don’t lift more than a finger. With just a touch of a button guests can close the drapes, dim the ceiling lights, request housekeeping and more with technology by Control4. Another luxurious part of this guest room is the bathroom — complete with a 69-inch soaking tub and hydro-rail shower columns. We also love the 700-square-foot balcony that runs the entire length of the suite, and the views of the Pacific Ocean don’t disappoint. We love the idea of a short jaunt to Southern California (so much to do and so easy to get to). For an awesome daylong adventure, we suggest the SoCal Trifecta Adventure, which comes with a two-night stay at Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in the three-bedroom Bungalow One. The package includes a jam-packed day of adventuring for up to six people.

Get Ready: The day starts at sunrise with a car service transfer to Van Nuys Airport with a flight to Twentynine Palms Airport, where a car service will take you to Joshua Tree National Park. Once there, slip into a harness and spend the morning rock climbing granite domes. Then it’s back to the private jet with a quick transfer to Big Bear Lake. Depending on the season the activities include mountain biking or skiing down pine-lined slopes. Take a deep breath, because next is a helicopter ride to a private boat for an afternoon of swimming and snorkeling in the ocean along Catalina. Added Touch: The package includes two main guides along with two additional guides at each location and all gourmet meals (plus cocktails). Book this package directly with Jacqueline Kerns ([email protected]), public relations manager.
