Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio in Turkey is getting two new hotels: a beach resort and a city resort in Bodrum. In addition to Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, Bodrum will become another important feature destination in the Turkish market. The two new properties are scheduled to open in 2013 and 2014.
Swissôtel’s future beach resort (pictured) sits directly on the waterfront in Turgutreis, approximately 12 miles from Bodrum's city center. The main hotel will have villas and duplex terraces in front as well as indoor and outdoor pools, Pürovel Spa & Sport, sport opportunities and several restaurants. The Bodrum city project of Swissôtel is located in the hills of Bodrum, and we hear it will have panoramic views over the city as well as three restaurants and Pürovel Spa & Sport.
So why Bodrum? The city reportedly has ideal conditions for surfing, diving and all other water sports. Thanks to strict guidelines, building construction in Bodrum is limited to two stories, so the city never feels overwhelming. The Greek island Kos is just a half hour away by boat.
