Talk of the Town: After the Rain Spa to Open in Paris

A gold and caviar body exfoliation? Chocolate and cream massages for two? Bring it on! After the Rain, the acclaimed Swiss spa brand, is opening its first international outpost in Paris in a matter of days. Facing the Tuileries garden on Rue de Rivoli, the 500 square-meter spa is housed in the St. James & Albany Hotel. The flagship spa in Geneva is known for its innovation, even launching a children’s spa one Wednesday a month. Fun treatments are adapted for the needs of kids aged 7 to 17-- like the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"-inspired chocolate bath with marshmallow fondue!

The sophisticated urban hideaway in Paris is marked by its historic architectural touches: freestone masonry and vaulted archways dating from the 17th century. Other noteworthy features include a beautiful swimming pool and hammam designed in black slate. The extensive treatment menu can be accessed online at www.aftertherain.ch/fr/paris
