Traveling Gourmet: Miami Extends Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week is all well and good, but for the serious foodies it's just not enough. Miami has thoughtfully taken this into consideration with the launch of Miami Spice, a summer promotion running two full months from August 1 to September 30.

We hear from Jaunted.com that the program is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, with more than 125 restaurants across Miami participating, including 35 new ones.

Three-course dinner menus are $35 and many restaurants are serving up three-course lunches for $22.

Before you 'bon appetit,' take a look at these three deals that we got from our friends at Jaunted.

1. Red, The Steakhouse: Red is offering a new Miami Spice menu each week. We hear some of the notable themes will be Lobster Week and Pasta Week, plus 50 percent of all bottles of wine under $100 on Wednesdays.

2. BLT Steak: Dinnertime favorites will include pork belly, sirloin, snapper and lemon-rosemary chicken. Three-course Sommelier Selections wine pairing will be available for a $25 supplement.

3. Asia De Cuba: The restaurant at Miami's sizzling Mondrian South Beach is offering summer classics like calamari salad/tuna tartare and mis-glazed salmon, as well as beef dumplings, THai beef salad and marinated crispy tofu.
