UK to get Second MGallery Hotel

More good news for the UK's upmarket hotel scene: Caterer & Hotelier is reporting that Accor Hotels will open its second MGallery hotel in the UK when the Francis Hotel in Bath makes its debut on May 28.

The Francis hotel will be the first MGallery outside London, following a $9.5 million refurbishment of the Mercure Bath Francis hotel.

The Grade I-listed property will have 98 bedrooms, and we hear a Brasserie Blanc will be next door.

Accor Hotels launched the upscale MGallery Collection in the UK in October 2011 with the opening of the St Ermin's hotel at St James in London.
