Villa by Barton G. Reopens at Versace Mansion in Miami

Gianni Versace’s lavish mansion on Ocean Drive in South Beach has long been a tourist attraction, and in recent years, it has welcomed guests to an over-the-top hotel and dining experience. Last May, the Villa by Barton G. closed for guest room refurbishments, and new owners took over the property formerly known as the Casa Casuarina in September. (The company also owns the Hotel Victor next door.)

This month the Villa by Barton G. reopens with a splash in South Beach; one of the first guests was Kim Kardashian, who was photographed waving from a balcony. Starting from $795 per night, the 10 opulent suites are equipped with Italian marble bathrooms and private balconies. The crème de la crème is the Venus Suite, which sprawls across 1,428 square feet and has two balconies overlooking the pool and Ocean Drive. The Villa Suite isn’t too shabby either; it was Versace’s former bedroom, and has a double king-size bed that’s nine feet in size. Facilities include Il Sole resturant and the 54-foot swimming pool, designed with mosaic tiles in 24-carat gold.
