Visit Napa Valley Picks Linsey Simpson Gallagher as New President

Napa Valley’s official destination marketing organization announced that, effective February 4, Linsey Simpson Gallagher will become the group’s new president. Gallagher’s position at Visit Napa Valley follows up 10 years as vice president of international marketing for the California Wine Institute and a long career in marketing and management.

As the organization’s new president, Gallagher will report to Visit Napa Valley’s CEO Clay Gregory. Marking his tenth year with the group this June, Gregory will provide Gallagher with guidance and mentorship during the onboarding process.

At her last job with the California Wine Institute, Gallagher managed the state’s wine export program, oversaw collaborative efforts with Visit California and led market expansion strategies and tactics in emerging markets like China and established countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom and Mexico. In that position, she led an international team of 25 staff, including 16 international representative offices, as well as a team of four at the San Francisco headquarters.

Before working at the institute, Gallagher spent a couple years as vice president of regional development real estate developer Simpson Development Corporation. Going back further, she worked at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where she was responsible for marketing strategy and brand execution. She has also served as manager of finance for the NBC Today Show and as a financial analyst for General Electric Capital Services.
