The Wauwinet in Nantucket to Open Anchorage House in May

The Wauwinet

Nantucket lovers, take heed. The Wauwinet, the island’s only Relais & Châteaux property and home to TOPPER’S restaurant, will be opening new accommodations in May. Called the Anchorage House, the three-bedroom pad is like a private beach house located across the street from the main inn.

Styled with wood shingles and white trim, the Anchorage House was decorated by local designer Donna Elle. The house can accommodate six people in three bedrooms, each equipped with their own private bathrooms, linens by Pratesi, and Bose music system. In terms of layout, the house has a living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette, an office, and two decks overlooking the gardens.

The perks of renting your own house include washer and dryer, hybrid bicycles, Nespresso and Keurig machines, plus umbrellas, chairs and towels for the beach. But when you book a stay at the Anchorage House, you still have access to The Wauwinet’s amenities: think kayaks, tennis, afternoon cheese and port, and shuttle service to the ferry dock.

Located 15 minutes outside Nantucket Town, The Wauwinet is located on a peninsula next to both Atlantic and Bay beaches.
