The Wellesley Opens in November in London

The Wellesley, London

A new 36-suite townhouse hotel called The Wellesley is opening soon in Knightsbridge. When the hotel project was first announced in 2010, it promised to be the UK’s first “six-star hotel.” Overlooking Hyde Park, the hotel will have interiors by Fox Linton that pay tribute to the building’s Art Deco heritage while incorporating contemporary glamour. We hear that The Wellesley will debut the largest suite in bedroom- complete with four bedrooms, two private humidors, and a private elevator.

Facilities will include the Opal restaurant (serving Italian cuisine), the Crystal Bar (with live jazz), and the Cigar Lounge and Terrace, home to "the UK's largest bespoke humidor." It does appear that the hotel is courting cigar aficionados in a big way. For more information, visit
