    * Jewish Book Week is at Kings Place from Saturday. Entry to the book fair is free, events are ticketed.
    * Deep Desires and Broken Dreams is a season of gay film at Riverside Studios until February 22. Check out the free photo exhibition while you’re there.
    * Dennis the Menace is at the Southbank Centre for the Imagine Children’s Festival.
    * It’s Carnival Weekend at Guanabara in Covent Garden and there’s loads of music, dancing, sunshine and samba.
    * The N20 Comedy Festival brings funnies to Battersea Arts Centre.
    * Young film-heads (15-25) need to be at BFI Southbank for Future Film on Saturday and Sunday.
    * Wander round the 20|12 International Art Fair at the Royal College of Art or the Parallax Art Fair (ends Saturday) in Chelsea Old Town Hall.
    * The Vault Festival rolls more fringe theatre experimentation in the Old Vic Tunnels.
    * London Fashion Week is in full strut. Watch fashionistas around Somerset House.
