Hot Cocoa Bar at Ritz-Carlton Boston

Tis the season… for luxury hotels to roll out special offers to delight guests. The temperatures aren’t exactly balmy in Boston, but the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common has some winter treats (and a jam-packed calendar of yuletide events) so you can thaw the wintry chill from your bones. Guests can sip a hot toddy or Boston Cream Pie Cocktail in the newly remodeled Avery Bar, or hit up the Hot Cocoa Bar, where you can choose your flavor and toppings. Needless to say, you can choose from an array of pastries to pair with your mug of hot chocolate.

For kids, there’s a Sugar Plum Fairy Afternoon Tea with songs and entertainment, and a Nutcracker breakfast with storytelling, live music, and a visit from Mrs. Claus. Each year the hotel also sets up a Nutcracker Suite, which is decked out in holiday trimmings. The kids get a teddy bear tuck-in each night, along with a Sugar Plum-inspired bubble bath. In-room gifts include a satin pointe shoe autographed by a Boston Ballet dancer plus a CD of The Nutcracker. The suite is available through December 29, 2013, starting at $995 per night.
