Diana Ross to Perform at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre in February

According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the Kings Theatre in Flatbush announced this week that its inaugural year of programming will kick off with an opening concert by Diana Ross. Yes, that Diana Ross. The Supreme Diana Ross will open this historic gem to the public for the first time in nearly 40 years.

The inaugural performance, currently slated for February 3, 2015, follows an extensive $93.9 million restoration and renovation of the palace, formerly known as Loew’s Kings Theatre. The largest theatre in Brooklyn with more than 3,000 seats, the Kings Theatre is expected to serve as a "cultural and economic cornerstone of the community and an extension of the borough’s cultural renaissance," the paper says.

The event will begin at 8 p.m., and tickets go on sale December 12 at 12 p.m. at KingsTheatre.com and Ticketmaster.com.
