hotel edenThe Dorchester Collection has announced that a major renovation project at Hotel Eden in Rome will kick off November 1, 2015. The hotel will be closed for the restoration, with a scheduled reopening in fall 2016.

Upon reopening the hotel will have 99 guestrooms and suites, as well as a new food and drink concept with panoramic views of the city. The refresh will also introduce a new spa with spa suites, signature treatments and beauty and wellness offerings, including a blow-dry bar.

Interior designers, Bruno Moinard of 4BI & Associates and Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku, from Jouin Manku, have been appointed to the project, which aims to blend contemporary features with the classic Roman style of the property.

Moinard, who previously completed the redesign of some of the public spaces at Hôtel Plaza Athénée as well as The Grill at The Dorchester in 2014, will oversee the interior decoration of the lobby, rooms and suites. Jouin Manku has been entrusted with the restoration of the restaurants and bar on the sixth floor and the spa.
