Eccleston Square Hotel to Open its High-tech Gates this June

Following a hefty $10 million renovation, we've heard that a high-tech hotel is poised to open within a late Georgian townhouse in central London – say hello to the Eccleston Square Hotel.

Boasting 39 bedrooms, the new urban oasis features 46-inch 3D LED televisions and iPad2s in every room and is an illustrious new member of Design Hotels. The impressive revamp was helmed by architects Woods Bagot, led by hotel director Olivia Byrne who hails from a successful hotelier family.

Luxe
Touch: The lobby features a sparkling black crystal chandelier offset by herring-bone-patterned floor tiles.

Guests will dig the uber modern high tech cocoon with loads of futuristic gadgets, including handmade Hästens beds which synchronize with the Hästens Mind Spa TV and high-spec marble bathrooms with  ‘smart glass’ walls which turn opaque at the touch of a button, as well as a TV incorporated into a heated, steam-proof mirror. The wet rooms also feature rainfall showers, high-pressure massage heads and aromatherapy products from L’Occitane.

Be sure to check out the afternoon tea as well, served up in the lounge, which features custom-made studded tub chairs, an open fireplace and silk finished walls. Techies will be thrilled to discover that the meeting rooms offer video conferences or presentations on an 120-inch 3D media wall.
