Eco Buzz: Robin Pope's Mobile Walking Safari

safariRobin Pope Safaris is rolling out its latest Mobile Walking Safari, first started in 1990.

The five-day journey covers about six miles per day on foot along the Mupamadzi River, an arm of the Luangwa in Zambia’s game-rich South Luangwa National Park.

The RPS Mobile Walking Safari starts with one night at stationary camp, Nkwali, with its six rooms overlooking the Luangwa River, continues with five days of walking between three Mobile Camps, and concludes at well-loved Tena Tena Camp or Zambia’s first safari camp, Nsefu. While safari-goers are walking through bush, feeling the pulse of Africa in their strides, their luggage, supplies, food and Mobile tents are hauled before them.
