Adrenaline junkies looking for the next best thing before it hits the scene will want to pay attention to Eleven Experience. The experiential travel brand is all about adventure travel, mixed with luxury staples like A-list accommodation and fine cuisine.
The group offers a slew of luxury properties in exotic destinations around the world (and an ever-growing portfolio of things to come). The properties include renovated lodges, beach homes and historic farm houses, which have all been outfitted with five-star amenities. At each property, a team of pros is on hand to craft bespoke adventures (think heli-skiing, fly-fishing, rock climbing, river rafting and more).
Eleven’s flagship property is Scarp Ridge Lodge, which debuted in 2011 in Crested Butte, Colorado. The building, once a 19th-century mason’s lodge and Victorian brothel, is now home to a seven-bedroom private lodge. There are five king-bedded suites with a bunk bed room and nanny’s quarters, as well as a lobby with custom lockers, commercial grade kitchen, bar, great room, media room, salt water lap pool, 14-person Jacuzzi, steam and sauna, gym and more. Skiers will love the private cat skiing at Irwin or the piste skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Note: Scarp Ridge Lodge is available for group hire only. Guests are entitled to a gourmet chef, guide service, full concierge, gear for activities and more.
In January, Eleven debuted Chalet Pelerin in the French Alps: a four king-bedded chalet in Le Miroir, France. Also available for group hire, this ski hideaway has a saltwater lap pool, outdoor hot tub, steam and sauna.
But Eleven is not stopping there. Soon to come will be the six-cabin Taylor River Lodge in Colorado, the Bahamas House Inn in the Bahamas, Deplar Farm in Iceland and properties in Amsterdam and Shelter Island.
Luxury Travel Advisor was told that the owner of Eleven Experience is always looking for locations that appeal to the adventure traveler, but are not on the beaten path. The key is to redefine luxury in not-so-obvious locations. He is currently looking to buy properties in Alaska, Chile and Hawaii.
