London's 51 Buckingham Gate to Debut Jaguar Suite

Gentlemen, start your engines! 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences in London will unveil the world’s first Jaguar Suite this September in a collaboration between two TATA-owned companies, Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces and Jaguar. We hear the design of this 1,832-square-foot, two-bedroom residential-style space just steps from Buckingham Palace references classic and contemporary Jaguar models, from the legendary 1960s E-type to the state-of-the art C-X75.

Overseen by Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum and his in-house design team, the suite features specially commissioned auto-inspired artwork and displays. Using materials taken from the cars, such as leather, metal and high gloss veneer, the suite pays homage to the legacy and future vision of these top cars.

The Jaguar experience starts at the door, with sleek wood panelling greeting guests on arrival and Jaguar damask lining the bedroom walls. Other design quirks include the minimalistic clean-fuel fireplace (referencing the shape of the brand’s hallmark rear window) to the leather that lines the cars, ebony veneer doors and custom-made Jaguar wallpaper.

Best of all: Residents of the Jaguar Suite will also enjoy the services of a chauffeur-driven Jaguar for airport transfers and transportation within London, 24-hour private butler service and daily breakfast.
